Additional funding for Cupertino’s proposed Mary Avenue bike/ped bridge over 280 will be on the VTA Board of Directors meeting agenda 5:30 pm this coming Thursday, November 1.

While the construction of this bridge seems to be more expensive than the original estimate, can you imagine how much easier commuting between Cupertino, Sunnyvale and West San Jose will be with a bridge built over 280 at Mary Avenue?

SVBC is ready to take our website to the next level. How can we make our website a better resource for you? We’re upgrading our website to a Drupal content management system, and we’re looking for fresh ideas to improve our existing content and further advance the functionality of our website. Please join us November 8 as we brainstorm all the exciting possibilities of what our website could do for you.

Thank you to every one who showed up to the Bicycle Exchange Program last Saturday. The Bicycle Exchange Program accepts unwanted bikes, fixes them up and donates them to children who do not have bikes.

With the help of all of our new and old crank-turning volunteers, last Saturday we built and donated 20 bikes to the Sunnyvale Community Services and 15 bikes to Sunday Friends, and received roughly 15 more bikes to repair for next meeting.

Thank you for all the hard work everyone! Now 35 more kids can have bikes to ride. Hope to see you again next time, the 2nd Saturday in November.
