Peninsula Committee Monthly Meeting

Social/eating time starts at 6:00. General Meeting begins promptly at 7:00PM and will end at 8:30. Non SVBC Members are welcome to attend and participate.
- Introductions if new members/attendees are present. Provide time to new attendees to introduce themselves and present their issues, reasons for attending and discuss involvement.
- Review/approve minutes from April meeting
- Member and Attendee Reports of items not on the agenda.
- North South Route:
- Updates on current status
- Discussion on future plans and increasing involvement with more members and cities.
- Can we use BTWD to promote?
- Caltrain Discussion.
- Discuss participation with the SFBC Bikes OnBoard project.
- Have you been bumped flyer for possible distribute on BTWD
- Participate in this group’s efforts to collect bicycle counts by Caltrain riders.
- Their current plan is to collect accurate data on bicycle usage on Caltrain, frequency of full bike cars and bumping to complete a report by late summer 2008. Need our help on data from the Peninsula and South Bay trains.
- Open discussion on your top issues or suggestions to improve bicycling conditions in San Mateo County. Review list completed so far, how should we proceed with this.
- Redwood City July Fourth Parade.
- Bicycle Parking: May 3-4 Maker Faire San Mateo County Expo Center, Gladwyn is coordinating and will need help.
- Final Planning Bike To Work Day. Hand out BTWD Spinning Cranks, Posters for distribution and other final issues.
- City Updates
- Redwood City Council has formed a three-person group to define goals and objectives for a BPAC. This group to present their finding with in 8 weeks to determine if a BPAC should be formed.
