Caltrain Bicycle Access and Parking Plan Update, 2008-08-11 Draft

Please find posted at the Caltrain website a downloadable copy of the DRAFT Bicycle Access and Parking Plan at http://www.caltrain.com/news_2008_08_11_Caltrain_Bike_Plan.html.
The public comment period will remain open until September 9, 2008. Comment submission details are at the above URL.
The SVBC board will update its position after review of this plan and to incorporate feedback already received from members. An updated draft will be made available before submission.
In order to keep the comments on this subject in order please use this forum to discuss the draft documents. SVBC Board members will be reading and sometimes responding to comments made here.

In an earlier comment I suggested increasing the bike capacity on trains by a small percentage point. It’s now clear that the demand for bicycle access has grown significantly, and Caltrain should plan to accommodate the need.
