Hoover Middle School School Safety

In honor of 12 year old Breanna Slaughter-Eck, Marc Purdy, a columnist of the Mercury News and neighbor of Hoover Middle School created a Helmet Fund for people to donate money in order to purchase helmets for distribution at the school. Aug. 21 is the sixth grade orientation day, and along with a helmet fitting and giveaway, the students will also partake in Bicycle Roadeo. Roadeo’s feature various stations that teach a different bicycle riding skill at each stop. Volunteers are needed and will be trained for the helmet fittings and Roadeo stations.
